Our client is looking to strengthen its corporate tax team by recruiting an experienced Tax Manager (m/f/x).
Our client is a manufacturing company with their headquartered in Illinois.
Based in Ville-Haute in Luxembourg, this role will play a key part in advancing the company's global tax strategy and drive critical tax initiatives in collaboration with the US tax team. The ideal candidate will possess strong tax technical expertise, exceptional analytical capabilities, and ability to drive complex projects to completion while working effectively with various stakeholders.
The Tax Manager (m/f/x) will report to the Head of Tax based in US and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Principal Responsibilities:
* Effectively implementing the company's tax strategy to align with enterprise goals.
* Lead tax technical analysis and execution on special projects, including M&A, cash repatriation, group financing, and reorganizations.
* Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including external advisors, business partners and tax authorities.
* Assess the impact of international tax developments (e.g., OECD, EU) and local tax law on the firm's tax positions and provide actionable strategic recommendations.
* Evaluate the current international tax structure and identify opportunities for optimization.
* Support the team with European tax audits and requests.
* Identify opportunities to streamline processes and procedures by leveraging the company's Business Model and the use of automation and technology.
Experience Requirements:
* Advanced degree in accounting, tax, or related discipline. A graduate degree or certification in taxation is preferred.
* Minium 5 years of international income tax experience with a Big 4 accounting firm, top law firm or within a corporate tax department of a U.S. based multinational enterprise.
* Broad knowledge of the EU tax system including Pillar 2, Transfer Pricing and DAC6 Reporting. Exposure to the U.S. corporate income tax system is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
* Ability to operate with a collaborative, result driven mindset.
* Capacity to manage multiple projects, people, and timetables.
* Fluent in both English and French
