The Product Engineer - Single Use Technologies - UFM is responsible for managing the required actions to support the current product portfolio through its lifecycle. You act as a product change manager to realize improvements to the product portfolio on various key attributes, such as safety, quality, security of supply, cost, manufacturability.
This position reports to the PE Manager LCM and is part of the RD&E organization located in Hoegaarden and will be an on-site role.
What you will do:
* Managing product changes at resident site to the current portfolio in UFM (Upstream and Fluid Management).
* You will initiate change requests and work with a team to perform a robust risk assessment by handling the validation of the product change, the customer notification in conjunction with quality and product management and by working closely with supply chain to handle phase-in-phase-out of the change.
* Prepare detailed validation protocols for IQ, OQ, PQ and write the validation reports in close cooperation with quality engineering
* Cooperate with with the engineering technician to get support on tests in manufacturing or engineering lab
* Agree with Design Engineering to create / update product and / or manufacturing drawings while aligning needs for documentation/part setup with Design Engineering Team Leader / Manager
* Strong focus on continuous improvement of products and processes;
* Apply Danaher Problem Solving Process and use A3 actions plans to tackle standard problems; analyze information and standard practices to make judgments;
Who you are:
* You possess a Master engineering degree, a Degree in e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
* You have multiple years of relevant working experience in an engineering environment.
* You are proficient in spoken and written English
* You have knowledge of validation procedures and techniques, e.g. Process and product FMEA and process capability studies, plastic processing e.g. seal technologies, injection molding etc.
* You are competent with Microsoft Office applications and Minitab.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
* Ability to travel - Rare travel to neighboring sites, customers or suppliers are possible.
* Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
