Project Manager (Back Office Migration) Freelance
For a large back office migration project, I am searching for a freelance Project Manager to lead the transition from an existing system provider to a new one. The current provider is decommissioning its application by the end of 2026, and the organization is moving to a new, open platform that offers API integrations and improved functionality.
This migration is a high priority initiative, and they need an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in back office migrations to ensure a smooth transition.
You will be responsible for overseeing the project from planning through to execution, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure a successful migration to the new system.
Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the back office migration project.
* Work with key stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, aligning the project with business goals.
* Manage project scope, schedule, and resources, ensuring the migration process runs smoothly and efficiently.
* Oversee the implementation of the new open system, ensuring seamless integration with existing technologies and workflows.
* Facilitate regular status meetings and provide clear communication to all project stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and issues.
* Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
* Support change management efforts, ensuring the transition to the new system is smooth for all affected users.
* Document and report on project progress, deliverables, and outcomes, ensuring all milestones are met.
Profile
* 5+ Years experience as an IT Project Manager
* Experience in managing back office migration projects, ideally within IT or business process migrations.
* English is required (Dutch language skills are preferred).
