Logistics at full potential
Due to growth, we are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to cover our five sites in Belgium, with our head office based in Zellik.
This role requires the ability to drive and travel, staying overnight when necessary.
This is a Hybrid role, working flexibly with the needs of the business.
In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives at site level, with the goal of establishing a continuous improvement culture and supporting our existing clients.
What you do on a typical day
* Identify and prioritize potential continuous improvement projects across various domains, including operations, quality, administrative processes, and safety. Ensure all analyses and recommendations align with Lean methodologies.
* Coordinate, lead, and execute the implementation of CI projects, working closely with the local team.
* Define and establish Key Performance Indicators to track and report on implemented CI projects.
* Support in establishing a CI culture across the business unit (e.g., Kaizen).
* Provide regular and ongoing feedback regarding improvement opportunities to the management team of the business unit.
* Design a plan for Continuous Improvement training and communication at the operational level.
* Prepare presentations, train site personnel, attend professional seminars, and later conduct training for plant employees in Lean and 5S.
* Lead Kaizen, LEAN, and 5S workshops together with our Learning and Development colleagues.
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent.
* 3 years’ experience in a similar field or expertise.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English and Dutch.
* Previous WMS experience required.
* Knowledge of LEAN Warehousing.
* Result-oriented and proactive.
* Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
