Job description
MULTI.engineering is looking for a Structural Analyst Maritime You will play a crucial role in performing global structural assessments of ships at the concept level, contributing to feasibility studies and guiding the team to explore structural possibilities from a strength perspective.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough global structural assessments of ships;
2. Analyze and understand the implications on both longitudinal and transverse strength ensuring the structural integrity of the vessel;
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to feasibility studies;
4. Perform detailed calculations manually and using specialized software to assess the strength of ship structures;
5. Address various structural requests, including but not limited to heavy equipment positioning on offshore ship decks, sea-fastenings calculations, and global/local assessments for conversions;
6. Ensure that all structural designs and assessments adhere to applicable rules and regulations.
Profile
Technical knowledge & soft skills:
7. You have at least a Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering;
8. You are a Structural Analyst with 2 years of relevant experience in calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in the shipbuilding/offshore industry;
9. You are familiar with structural and FEA software, such as ANSYS Workbench, MARS, or STEEL;
10. Knowledge of the rules of classification societies (Lloyds, BV, DNV);
11. You have excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
