ING Lease is a market leader in the Belgian financial leasing market and offers clients a full service for the leasing of assets for professional use: sales, back office and after care. With My ING Lease, it also shows itself as a real innovator in the sector.
As Team Lead Financial Control First Line you deliver optimal financial accounting processes and solutions for ING Lease. The department consists of 2 areas: one area for Accounts Payable & Receivable and an area for control and reconciliations, with a total of 3 employees.
Your key responsibilities
You will lead the Financial Control team of ING Lease and will guide and motivate your team to continuously improve their performance and knowledge. You will work closely with the management team of ING Lease, providing analytics and insights into financial trends and performance. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with the CFO, the accounting department, and the Finance and Treasury department of ING Belgium.
Financial Control oversees the various internal and external accounts of ING Lease and the daily bookings made on these accounts. In addition, the team is responsible for day-to-day treasury management and controls the correctness of the financial data in the different tools.
At transaction level, Financial Control checks whether the entries are correct and anticipates incorrect entries in more complex files by making proactive arrangements with the services concerned regarding the correct actions to undertake.
As Team Lead Financial Control you:
* assure the day-to-day treasury positions and collect the necessary funding
* coordinate the monthly closing process for the domains you are responsible for
* collect, verify, and validate the financial data provided to Financial Accounting
* analyze the data, recognize and explain relevant trends and exceptional events
* establish the link between the accounting figures and the business
* guarantee the reconciliation between the lease administration and the financial administration and the accounting system
* prepare documentation and support material to assist the management and business partners in their decisions
* initiate and support business processes and report improvements in order to both increase efficiency and better meet customer needs
* document and review processes in the domains you are responsible for
* assist in finance-related projects
