As a Hosting Solution Architect, you are responsible for designing, implementing, and securing hosting solutions within our ICT environment. You play a key role in defining the future state of our hosting landscape, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. You work closely with infrastructure teams, enterprise architects, and external partners to align hosting solutions with business needs and technology strategies.Key Responsibilities:Design new solutions and enhance existing hosting infrastructure.Provide technical expertise for architectural decisions across multiple hosting technologies.Document and standardize hosting designs to enable efficient implementation and operations.Hosting Platform ManagementOversee the evolution of our hosting environments, which include: Traditional Datacenter with physical servers, Nutanix infrastructure with native AHV hypervisor, VMware-based virtualized environments, Container platforms running on Red Hat OpenShift, Azure cloud services other potential cloud and hybrid hosting solutions.Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between different hosting platforms.Optimize performance, availability, and resource utilization across the hosting landscape.Security ComplianceImplement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.Work closely with the IT security team to mitigate risks and enforce security policies.Support vulnerability management, patching, and security auditing processes.Operational Support OptimizationSupport infrastructure teams in troubleshooting complex hosting-related issues.Ensure business continuity through high-availability and disaster recovery planning.Identify opportunities for automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) approaches.Budget: Take ownership of the budget within the domain, ensuring cost-effective decisions while aligning investments with business priorities and technological advancements.Engage with internal stakeholders to understand hosting requirements and business needs.Work with external vendors and service providers to enhance hosting capabilities.Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging hosting technologies.What we do for youWe offer you the opportunity to join one of the world’s premier research centers in nanotechnology at its headquarters in Leuven, Belgium.
