We are looking for an IT Domain Manager to join our IT HelpDesk team at Carrefour Belgium. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in IT monitoring, incident detection and automation, coupled with excellent planning, execution and supervision skills to manage their domain.
This role is crucial in ensuring our applications and services run smoothly, minimizing downtime, and swiftly addressing any issues that arise. We aim to be as predictive as possible in our way of operating our systems and avoiding incidents thanks to monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and professional development.
* Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
* Manage the domain, taking into account onboarding cost and running cost.
* Supervise the level of automation and documentation provided by the team.
IT Monitoring:
* Implement and manage monitoring solutions using technologies such as ELK stack, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, or similar tools.
* Optimize monitoring configurations to enhance visibility and alert accuracy.
* Develop dashboards and reports to provide insights into system performance and health.
* Help analyze and detect trends which can lead to incidents.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize system performance and minimize downtime.
Incident Detection:
* Analyze data to identify trends and new metrics to monitor.
* Work closely with the Incident Manager to identify trends and root causes behind issues.
* Develop and execute fault detection metrics and alerts in applications.
Collaboration and Communication:
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate applications with the monitoring platform.
* Work closely with Helpdesk team leads to ensure monitoring is leveraging efficiency in daily operations.
* Provide technical guidance and support to application teams.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience with one or more IT monitoring technologies.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Bilingual French/English or Dutch/English.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Eye for detail and willingness to learn.
