CAR-T is an advanced therapy that uses the patient's own immune system to fight the disease. The patient's T-cells are genetically modified to eliminate cancer cells. This groundbreaking, innovative technology offers a hopeful outlook to patients for whom other therapies have no or insufficient effect.
This role is a people leader role of Vein-to-Vein planners focused on the patient material flow for the EMEA markets. As a people leader, you will be responsible & accountable for the coaching and development of your team. You will work together with the Vein-to-Vein planners to build and execute effective planning and logistics processes to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for the patient material journey. This role requires strong partnership skills to collaborate and align with different stakeholders (internal & external) together with a strong CAN-DO mindset to help shape the way of working of the Vein-to-Vein team and the Cell Therapy platform. As an EMEA Vein to Vein manager, you will also be accountable to ensure successful EMEA Country launches out of Ghent and Raritan – both in a clinical and commercial setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Coach and empower the planning team.
* Manage resources and work allocation while promoting personal development.
* Prepare the team for increased future demand while supporting current operations.
* Serve as the primary contact for Clinical and Commercial partners regarding order status and logistics.
* Ensure daily alignment across multiple partners to monitor and prioritize batch status.
* Lead escalations and drive progress in response to issues.
* Aim to reduce cycle time in operational activities.
* Maintain strong connections with regional counterparts for global alignment.
* Adapt responsibilities as volumes and network complexity increase.
Qualifications
Education:
* Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (required).
Experience and Skills:
Required:
* 8+ years in relevant industry experience, preferably in healthcare.
* Comfort in global and ambiguous environments.
* Familiarity with GMP requirements.
* Strategic and detail-oriented mindset.
* Experience in customer-facing roles.
* Ability to lead cross-functional discussions.
* Strong skills in team collaboration and relationship-building.
* Capacity to influence others without direct authority and foster collaboration.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
* Positive mindset in overcoming challenges. High self-awareness and openness to feedback.
Preferred:
* 2+ years of experience in a people leader role.
* Experience in supply chain functions like Planning, Customer Service, Delivery, Contract Manufacturing, or IT.
Other:
* This position requires the ability and flexibility to work outside of regular office hours for patient support when needed.
