With a significant presence in Luxembourg, it employs a diverse team of professionals dedicated to delivering excellence in financial services.As a Senior Risk Manager, you will play a key role in managing operational risks and ensuring regulatory compliance within the Fund Operations team. This team oversees Transfer Agency, Fund Accounting, Asset Valuation, Transformation (project management), and Outsourcing (Operations & IT), covering a range of products including UCITS and Alternative Funds.Your mission will be to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks, embed risk management practices into daily operations, and support the entire lifecycle of services - from new product approvals to ongoing operations. The Role
* Risk Identification & Assessment : Identify and evaluate operational risks within the Fund Operations team, contribute to the risk mapping process, and assist in regular reporting to central functions.
* Internal Control Oversight : Support the implementation and monitoring of the internal control system, ensuring the effectiveness of first-level controls and assisting in second-level control processes. Provide periodic reports on internal control performance.
* Audit Coordination : Act as a key liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring smooth and effective audit processes for the Fund Operations team.
* Risk Mitigation & Audit Follow-up : Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies and ensure the effective implementation of audit recommendations.
* Risk Tolerance & Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) : Help the Fund Operations team to define risk tolerance levels and monitor KRIs to ensure alignment with the overall risk management framework.
* Due Diligence & Regulatory Compliance : Provide risk management input for RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, and inquiries from clients and regulators, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
* Continuous Improvement : Foster a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement by promoting best practices and innovative approaches in risk management.
The Profile Qualifications & Experience
* University degree or equivalent qualification
* 8+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management (UCITS or AIFs)
Technical Skills & Expertise
* Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks and methodologies
* Proven experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational risks
* Expertise in designing, implementing, and managing internal control systems
* Familiarity with first- and second-level control processes
* In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
* Strong expertise in Luxembourg’s fund regulatory environment
Language Skills
* Fluent in French and English – any additional language is a plus
