We are looking for a Project Manager – Battery Storage Projects, who will be tasked with successfully managing the construction of battery energy storage projects through to completion on behalf of our client HybriX Energy – a local and independent developer of grid-scale and industrial battery energy storage (BESS) projects, fully committed to the energy transition.
The successful candidate will work in a lean and agile environment, overseeing all aspects of battery-related construction activities and ensuring full compliance with project specifications and requirements. You will form a close-knit team with the Electrical Engineer and take ownership to ensure the projects are completed successfully and to a high standard.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting daily site visits to oversee all aspects of battery-related construction activities
* Coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to achieve project milestones
* Collaborating with local authorities to obtain all required construction permits within the necessary timelines
* Collaborating with ELIA (Transmission Network Operator) to secure a timely grid connection
* Ensuring strict compliance with industry standards, grid requirements, and safety regulations
* Monitoring the project planning and managing the predefined budgets and contracts with all suppliers
* Performing risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard the quality and progress of the project
* Preparing and presenting comprehensive progress reports to the Management Team
* Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and battery storage advancements
The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or similar, and at least 3 years of experience in technical project management or construction management in the renewable energy sector.
You will be analytical with an eye for details, solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as knowledge of battery energy storage systems and related technologies, are also desirable.
