What You’ll Do: We have an exciting opportunity for an Ethics and Compliance Analyst within our Europe Ethics and Compliance team in Diegem, Belgium (on-site position). You will support Abbott's compliance program across all business units in Europe and be responsible for developing and implementing training and affiliate monitoring.
Responsibilities:
1. Independently analyze various business transactions and provide guidance, support, and appropriate advice regarding any compliance matters associated with Abbott policies and industry standards.
2. Develop knowledge of Abbott’s business areas supported to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential areas of risk and provide a recommended course of action to management.
3. Assist leadership to develop affiliate monitoring plan and perform affiliate monitoring activities to identify whether activities comply with policies and procedures.
4. Develop and deliver training programs on policies and procedures and track completion accordingly.
5. Effectively use data analysis tools and problem-solving techniques using close attention to detail to identify and prioritize assessment of potential risk.
6. Develop and maintain transactional compliance metrics and monitor compliance trends/results and advise on remediation plans and corrective actions.
7. Support and communicate with various levels of divisional business functions to provide basic and routine policy interpretation and requirements, and assist with compliance risk assessment, trend analysis, and best practice recommendations.
8. Assist in facilitating the routing for approval of various business requests, necessary forms, and new and/or updated procedures.
9. Assist leadership on compliance audits; assist in the fulfillment of auditor’s requests by gathering information and documentation.
Education & Experience:
10. BS/BA required.
11. Minimum of 3+ years’ experience, with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and finance.
12. Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
14. Highly skilled at organizing and prioritizing.
15. Must have strong written and verbal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
16. Experience working in medical device or life sciences industry, a strong plus.
17. Skills with data analytics tools such as Power BI, preferred.
