For the Corporate Commercial department at our headquarters in Brussels (near the train station and subway), we’re looking for a Corporate Commercial Officer (m/f/x).
The Corporate Commercial department prepares Fluxys for the future and enhances Group value by developing and strengthening commercial capabilities in strategically important areas. The team collaborates across businesses and functions, primarily in Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, and the UK, to implement initiatives that enhance customer value and reduce complexity. This includes integrating local and global commercial activities, fostering collaboration to capitalize on existing strengths, and utilizing data-driven insights to guide Group-level commercial strategy.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Corporate Commercial Manager, the Corporate Commercial Officer will play a key role in supporting commercial strategy and operations, group-wide business processes, and market insights. As part of a small team with a broad scope, the role holder will also contribute to improving collaboration tools. A typical work week includes facilitating cross-organizational commercial calls, following up on project work packages, testing digital solutions, sharing best practices and market insights across the group at both local and international levels, and preparing for internal and external events. The job is based in Brussels and requires occasional travel in Europe.
Your Responsibilities
1. Contribute to corporate commercial initiatives and projects
2. Coordinate project progress: monitor, track and communicate project milestones and deliverables
3. Organize and execute group events professionally and efficiently
4. Facilitate communication: interface with various governing structures within the organization to support decision-making processes. Ensure a smooth flow of information across departments and business units
5. Oversee the administration of processes within your scope, ensuring their effectiveness
6. Collaborate with other departments to continuously improve existing processes and streamline operations
7. Work flexibly as part of a small team in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
About You
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
2. Ability to coordinate transversal projects across departments and international business units
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
4. Experience in event coordination, hosting and creating engagement for events
5. Demonstrated ability to handle and manage data across different systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, etc.) and proficiency in MS Excel, SharePoint, and other MS Office applications
6. Experience or strong interest in driving business process improvement and harmonisation
7. Resilience as a problem solver with a hands-on approach and a can-do attitude
8. Ability to reconcile differing perspectives to achieve common understanding
9. Experience in the energy sector is a plus
