Electromechanical Maintenance Engineer - Liege Region - Permanent Role
I am partnered with a global organisation focused on steel production for the construction industry, they are looking for an engineer with an electromechanical background to join the maintenance team in a production site near Liege.
Responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment across the plant.
* Maintain, adjust, and replace components of production equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and other mechanical systems.
* Assist in the installation of new machinery or equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer guidelines.
* Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls to address breakdowns or issues that affect production.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
* Follow plant safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electromechanical Engineering.
* Experience working with electrical installations, you are in possession of a BA4 or BA5 certificate.
* Solid understanding of safety protocols and ability to work safely in a high-risk environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime, if necessary.
* Comfortable working in a noisy, hot, and occasionally hazardous industrial environment.
* French fluency is required.
