Job Description:
Key responsibilities of the Legal Counsel role include:
* Legal Support: Oversee legal aspects of clinical trials, partnerships, and collaborations to ensure compliance with international and local regulations.
* Contracts Management: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, including clinical trial agreements, partnership contracts, and service provider arrangements.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to data protection laws, ethical guidelines, and governance policies across all operations.
* Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks, providing proactive guidance to stakeholders.
* Policy Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of internal policies to support organizational objectives.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth operations.
The successful candidate for this role will ideally possess the following:
* Experience: 3 to 6 years of legal practice, with expertise in contracts, compliance, and corporate governance, together with clinical trials, health, or nonprofit sectors.
* Qualifications: A law degree with a strong understanding of international and EU law, including data protection (GDPR) and ethics regulations.
* Skills: Exceptional negotiation, drafting, and communication abilities, with a solution-oriented mindset.
* Language Proficiency: Fluency in English & French (written and spoken) is essential; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
* Personal Traits: Demonstrates attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
