Business Development Manager - Benelux

We are looking for a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead the identification, mapping, and penetration of defined markets. The ideal candidate will develop strategies and actionable plans to approach these markets and achieve pre-defined business targets. This role requires a blend of market research, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to drive growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s growth trajectory.
Responsibilities
1. Market Research and Mapping:
• Identify and map potential markets within the defined scope, including their size, trends, competitors and customer needs.
• Analyze market data to assess opportunities, risks, and potential barriers to entry.
• Create detailed market profiles and segmentation for targeted business development initiatives.
2. Strategy Development:
• Develop strategies to approach the defined markets with customer requirements in mind.
• Identify key market drivers, growth levers, and areas for differentiation.
• Align market strategies with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
3. Action Plan Implementation:
• Create actionable plans to execute market entry or expansion strategies, including setting timelines.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential distributors and end users.
• Develop and oversee sales pipelines, partnerships, and strategic alliances.
4. Target Achievement:
• Define clear business targets for each market.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product management to support target achievement.
• Ensure timely reporting on market performance, business outcomes, and key learnings.
5. Relationship Building:
• Build up trust and credibility in new and existing markets.
• Negotiate and close deals, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction.
6. Continuous Improvement:
• Continuously monitor the effectiveness of strategies and action plans, adjusting them to optimize results.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Experience, Skills and knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Proven track record in business development, market strategy or sales.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in cross-functional collaboration and project management.
