Gentis Recruitment is currently looking for a Compliance Officer on behalf of an international leader in the insurance industry.
As a Compliance Officer your mission will be to ensure that the organization and its employees adhere to all relevant regulations, internal policies, and ethical guidelines. You will be responsible for identifying potential compliance risks and managing these risks effectively through continuous monitoring, reporting, and implementation of preventive measures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of the compliance strategy in alignment with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Oversee projects related to new regulatory developments, such as sustainability reporting and corporate due diligence.
- Stay updated on changes in legal and regulatory environments and ensure timely updates to internal policies.
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assess the organization’s adherence to legal frameworks, policies, and regulations.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting on compliance matters to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
- Leverage data-driven solutions to strengthen compliance activities, both in terms of monitoring and advisory.
- Take proactive measures, such as delivering training and offering guidance, to mitigate potential compliance risks.
- Support investigations related to allegations of regulatory breaches, including financial crimes or fraud.
Your Profile:
Qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience & Skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Compliance, Risk, Audit, or Legal role.
- A demonstrated ability to operate with integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex compliance issues effectively.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in an international setting.
- Familiarity with the insurance or reinsurance industry is highly desirable.
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.
