Freelance Telecoms Program Manager
You will be responsible for setting up and managing a non-operational account and driving key decisions for the Home Connect business. This project aims to connect end users to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) through efficient and scalable processes, leveraging automation and streamlined logistics. Your role will focus on ensuring successful delivery to a wide user base while establishing best practices, processes, and systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership & Setup: Lead the conceptualization and execution of the Home Connect business, ensuring all key elements—systems, operations, and processes—are set up to scale successfully.
* Mass Fiber Rollout: Oversee the rollout of fiber connectivity to end users, ensuring efficient, scalable delivery. Work with various stakeholders to drive the adoption of fiber infrastructure, considering both technical and logistical requirements.
* Process & Operations Management: Develop and optimize operational processes for the setup, activation, and support of new users. Focus on logistics, supply chain, and delivery coordination to ensure seamless connections between the end user, ISP, and the network.
* Automation & Scalability: Integrate automation and amplifications into the rollout processes to maximize efficiency. Ensure that large-scale deployment can be carried out without compromising quality or timelines.
* Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and service providers to ensure smooth execution. Ensure alignment across business units and facilitate smooth information flow.
* Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks to timelines and budgets, ensuring the project remains on track for successful delivery.
* Performance Tracking: Set up key performance indicators (KPIs) and manage reporting mechanisms to track progress and performance. Adjust plans and strategies based on performance data.
Requirements for the Candidate:
Experience:
* Proven experience managing large-scale telecom/networking projects, particularly in fiber rollout to end users.
* Strong background in IT project tooling and systems, with a focus on non-technical project management.
* Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs that involve multiple stakeholders, particularly in the telecoms or infrastructure industries.
* Experience in setting up new business units or activities, from concept to execution, with a clear focus on scalability and user adoption.
* Familiarity with the Home Connect concept and mass rollout strategies is highly desirable.
* Extensive experience in logistics, supply chain management, and operations delivery to end users.
Technology Knowledge:
* Strong understanding of networking and telecoms solutions, especially fiber infrastructure.
* Familiarity with automation tools, digital tools, and systems that support large-scale projects (e.g., CRM, ERP, or logistics management platforms).
* Knowledge of process optimization techniques and frameworks (e.g., Lean, Agile, Six Sigma) would be an advantage.
Bonuses:
* Experience working with ISPs or in the fiber optic industry is a plus.
* Knowledge of project delivery in an international or highly regulated environment.
* Previous experience in managing consumer-focused technology deployments.
