Do you combine a strategic mindset and an eye for an advocacy opportunity with an ability to coordinate and drive a coalition of organisations towards their shared goal of accelerating Europe’s path to clean heat?Your roleThe Clean Heat Europe coalition is looking for a campaign manager to coordinate its work, maximise its impact and lead the development of new focus areas including air quality. This is a one year, full-time position.Key responsibilities:- Coordinate the Clean Heat campaign, liaising with partners to ensure consistent communication and alignment on goals.- Lead the development of a campaign plan to advocate for clean heating policies across Europe including new angles and aspects as needed.- Based on the plan, develop policy recommendations, advocacy and communication materials tailored to relevant audiences.- Set up and coordinate a wider industry network to support campaign objectives, with regular meetings and updates.- Monitor relevant policy developments in EU climate, energy, and environmental policies, adapting the campaign's approach to maximise impact.- Oversee the creation of engaging communications and social media content (organic and paid), manage the campaign’s social media channels, and coordinate with media outlets.- Manage and update the Clean Heat coalition website as needed.- Track and report on campaign progress and outcomes.- Oversee the campaign budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and staying within financial limits.- Prepare internal and external events like workshops and webinars, secure and brief speakers and ensure high attendance.Your profile- Four or more years of experience in campaigning, communications or advocacy in an energy, climate, health or sustainability-related field.- Proven track record of designing, leading, and managing advocacy campaigns in a timely, well-organised and effective manner.- Experience building and managing a network of fruitful and constructive relationships with stakeholders, partners and/or team members.- Experience in managing social media channels, producing social media content (organic and paid).- Good knowledge of the EU decision-making process, particularly in energy, climate and environmental policy, and of the EU media landscape.- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in creating compelling narratives, advocacy materials, public messaging, and engagement across multiple platforms.- Self-motivated, with a strategic and creative mindset- Positive attitude, team spirit, and adherence to the overall goals of the Clean Heat campaign.- Fluent English, ideally another European language- Working permit in BelgiumThe offerYou will have a great opportunity to:- Earn a competitive salary of €4,200-4,700 gross/month depending on experience.- Gain valuable experience in European affairs on climate, energy and environmental issues while managing an impactful campaign.- Experience advocacy work with all EU institutions via a wide range of tools (communication, events, studies, meetings).- Develop your skills in an entrepreneurial environment, with a dynamic and international team in the capital of the European Union.- A Belgian contract of one year (possibility of extension) with benefits such as travel expenses, representation, meal vouchers, eco-vouchers, laptop, telephone + subscription and training budget.Starting dateAs soon as possible.How to applyPlease apply by Monday 25 November 2024About Clean Heat EuropeThe Clean Heat coalition advocates for more affordable, accessible, and climate friendly heat for buildings across Europe, and calls for political action in support of every European’s right to clean heat.Clean Heat Europe’s current partners are: Euroheat and Power, the European Climate Foundation, the European Heat Pump Association, the International Copper Association Europe, Solar Power Europe.Www.Cleanheateurope.Eu
