For our headquarter office in Waregem (Belgium), we are looking for a Compliance Expert Business Partner.
Your role and responsibilities
The Customs & Trade Compliance Expert Business Partner assists and provides support to the Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager in protecting the TVH Parts Holding NV (TVH) reputation and integrity in terms of customs and trade compliance to sustain the TVH success.
Therefore, the Customs & Trade Compliance Expert Business Partner provides support to the Global Customs & Trade Compliance Manager by assisting in the execution of the following tasks:
* Acting as a key compliance business partner in our major transformation project, shaping the solution landscape, including global trade management capabilities.
* Assist in the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of key business processes across departments, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and create streamlined processes.
* Identifying, naming, and analyzing possible in-scope customs and trade compliance requirements and risks as well as their impact on TVH and its stakeholders.
* Respond to queries related to customs & trade compliance and activities of the organization.
* Monitoring and reporting of customs & trade compliance-related activities, actions, systems, and infringements in meeting the compliance requirements and the management of compliance risks.
* Follow up on developments in regulations, rulings, policies, guidelines, and expectations globally.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for customs- and compliance-related inquiries.
* Coaching, giving training, supporting, and/or advising TVH staff members on meeting customs and trade requirements in carrying out their daily activities.
Your profile
* Bachelor degree or equivalent by experience.
* 2 - 3 years of experience and at least 2 years of experience in a customs and trade compliance-related function.
* Experience in legal analysis, compliance, risk management.
* Knowledge of global customs regulations, trade compliance, and logistics processes.
* Familiarity with trade compliance software and tools and/or ERP systems.
* Good understanding of the functioning of processes and procedures.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
* Knowledge of risk, internal control, internal audit, and monitoring techniques is considered a plus.
* Fluent in Dutch & English both spoken and written, French is a plus.
