ACTIVITIES
* Act as the primary liaison between customers and the company and to the asphalt industry in the Southeast United States (FL, GA, AL, MS)
* Provide consultation and product recommendations to state and local public works departments and engineering firms engaged in new pavement and parking lot construction, pavement maintenance and preservation, pavement recycling and rehabilitation projects.
* Implement strategies that result in profitable growth for our products and services and represent the greatest value to our customers:
* Grow Infrastructure product lines including additive and emulsifier accounts through new product additions at existing accounts and winning new accounts in the asphalt industry.
* Actively participate in local, state and national events to promote Company products.
* Manage product mix in the territory to ensure product availability and company profitability, while ensuring customers have the best technology to meet their needs.
* Perform ongoing market analysis and explore product development opportunities. Quantify expected revenue results, monitor progress, change or modify strategies to maximize results when needed.
* Work with multi-functional teams within Infrastructure on new product development, field testing and commercialization as technological advances demand and on systems business installations within your assigned territory.
* Complete administrative duties such as completing sales reports, incurring business expense in accordance to company policy, submitting for reimbursement timely, etc.
* Other duties as assigned.
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
* Extended time on a computer – repetitive motion.
* Exposure to risks associated with asphalt plant and jobsite visits.
* Travel up to 50% of the time.
* Candidate must have the ability to work remotely from a home office with internet access.
* Ability to work flexible hours, based on customer demands, required.

* Ability to think like an owner, with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
* Technical aptitude – the ability to understand and explain chemical products and their uses.
* The ability to assist in writing product specifications and job mix formulas (mix designs).
* The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all levels of any organization.
* Excellent communication skills and effective public speaking skills, with the ability to connect and communicate with audiences of varying technical and educational levels.
* Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize and implement sales activities and processes, such as the Sandler sales program.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
* Ability to use computers / software for travel planning, report writing, and expense management.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* Bachelor’s Degree, required. (Preferably in Business, Sales, Marketing or Engineering.) Will consider 7+ years of experience in lieu of college degree.
* Experience selling solutions to the heavy Civil Engineering/Construction community, is preferred.
* 3+ years of successful technical/consultative selling experience, required.
* Experience within Asphalt, Construction, Aggregate or Concrete industry, preferred.
* Experience consulting with government agencies and pavement engineers, preferred.
