Position
Were looking for a DevOps/Linux System Engineer who wants deep dive into our cPanel environment.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and improving cPanel environments across our infrastructure. Youll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our hosting solutions remain secure, reliable, and efficient. In addition, you will lead platform migrations and leverage automation to streamline complex processes, ensuring seamless transitions for users.

Today, our company operates a wide variety of cPanel platforms, each managed in its own way. Your role will be instrumental in helping us standardize these platforms and build a virtual team operating at a functional European level.
As part of this initiative, you will:
1. Create a unified approach to managing, supporting, and developing new features for all cPanel platforms across our European operations.
2. Introduce centralized tools for monitoring, configuration management, and automation to ensure all platforms can be managed as a cohesive system.
3. Help optimize the infrastructure to improve security, efficiency, and achieve economies of scale.
4. Contribute to building a scalable and robust hosting environment that supports our ambitious growth and operational goals.

Responsibilities
5. cPanel Management: Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot cPanel servers to ensure high availability and performance.
6. Platform Migrations: Plan, execute, and automate migrations between hosting platforms with minimal downtime and disruption for users.
7. Automation: Develop and implement scripts and tools to automate recurring tasks, migrations, and operational processes.
8. Security: Monitor and address vulnerabilities, ensuring that all cPanel environments are secure and compliant with industry standards.
9. Performance Optimization: Analyze server performance metrics and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
10. Collaboration: Work closely with support, development, and infrastructure teams of all brands and regions to align cPanel configurations with business and technical needs.
11. Upgrades and Deployments: Plan and execute cPanel upgrades, new installations, and deployments across various environments.
12. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
13. Very strong Linux skills: Proficiency in Linux server administration (preferably CentOS, AlmaLinux or similar distributions).
14. cPanel/WHM: Hands-on experience managing and optimizing cPanel (or similar control panels) environments is a plus, not a must!
15. Scripting Knowledge: Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl for automation and task management.
16. Configuration management: Strong experience with Ansible, Puppet or Chef for configuration management and automation.
17. Migration Expertise: Proven ability to plan, execute, and automate migrations between hosting platforms, ensuring efficiency and minimal disruption.
18. Networking Expertise: Understanding of DNS, email protocols, and server configurations within a hosting environment.
19. Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy troubleshooting complex issues and finding innovative solutions.
20. Security Awareness: Knowledge of best practices for securing web hosting environments.
21. Customer Focus: A passion for delivering high-quality hosting experiences and solving user issues efficiently.
22. Nice to Have: Experience with CloudLinux, LiteSpeed, or other web hosting-specific tools and technologies.
