# **About You**To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. BSc (at least 2:1) or equivalent 2. PhD or MD or equivalent3. Able to work independently4. Animal work experience and/or willingness to work with animals 5. Previous experience in biological /medical research 6. Good organisation, presentation, and IT skills7. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and team player8. Self-motivated *\** Please note that this is a PhD/MD level role but candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting award of their PhDs/MD will be considered. In these circumstances the appointment will be made at Grade 5, spine point 30 with the title of Research Assistant. Upon confirmation of the award of the PhD, the job title will become Research Associate and the salary will increase to Grade 6. **Desirable criteria** 1. Academic prizes2.
