Job Title: PKI and Cybersecurity Specialist
Location: Brussels, Belgium (onsite)
Salary: EUR3,500 - EUR7,000 gross per month

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled PKI and Cybersecurity Specialist to join a dynamic team working in the field of digital identity, cybersecurity, and trust services. This position involves managing public key infrastructure (PKI) operations, ensuring secure electronic identification (eID), and maintaining millions of certificates for government clients.
Key responsibilities
Electronic ID Authentication & PKI Operations:
Work on cryptographic protocols, trusted authority security, and software key management
Manage infrastructure for trust services and certificate lifecycles, ensuring compliance with eIDAS regulations
Cybersecurity & System Administration:
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures for on-premise and managed services infrastructure
Conduct audits and security evaluations to ensure robust system reliability
Collaborative Problem Solving:
Work autonomously within a small, highly skilled team in Belgium and Estonia
Take proactive steps to find innovative solutions and address urgent technical challenges
On-Call Rotation: Participate in on-guard duty every 4 to 5 weeks to support critical operations
Requirements
Education & Experience:
A Junior or Master's degree in IT or a related field
At least 4 years of relevant experience in PKI, cybersecurity, or IT system administration
Technical Skills:
Expertise in PKI, trust services, cryptography, and digital identity
Knowledge of HTTPS protocols, trusted authority security, and On-Prem infrastructure
Experience with managed services and eIDAS-compliant systems
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail with a technical focus
Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities effectively
Fluency in English
Work environment
Location & Schedule: Onsite work in East side of Brussels, with flexibility for two remote days per week.
