Junior Mechanical Design Engineer – Housing
The Junior Mechanical Design Engineer will play a critical role in the design of Hybrid DCT Transmissions as part of our fast-growing development team. He/she will be responsible for developing housings of electric and hybrid propulsion systems.
About The Role
We are looking for a skilled mechanical engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in analysis, mechanics, dynamics, NVH, and durability simulation. Experience with HPDC design and manufacturing is also required.
Responsibilities
* Component Owner: Develop and maintain housing designs that meet functional and manufacturing requirements.
* Housing Design: Establish design fulfilling requirements from both functional and HPDC technology perspectives.
* Development: Perform development of components respecting interfaces to any TM sub-systems and vehicle interfaces.
* Coordination: Coordinate creation of 3D CAD model and 2D Drawing incl. relevant specifications ie. porosity, cleanliness, etc.
* Engineering Activities: Coordinate analytical and physical design verification/tests, assess results, and prepare project reporting.
* Cross-Functional Team Lead: Lead cross-functional team of design, purchasing, and process development for the commodity.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
* MSc or PhD in mechanical engineering.
* Strong knowledge of analysis, mechanics, dynamics, NVH, and durability simulation.
* Experience with HPDC design and manufacturing.
* Project Management Knowledge, capable to plan and manage activities within the Component Responsibility.
* CAE and diecast/mold-flow simulation knowledge, PLM & CAD base knowledge (Windchill, CREO).
Preferred Skills And Experience
In addition to the above qualifications, the ideal candidate will have the following preferred skills and experience:
* Expertise in analysis and design of transmission housing and its components.
* Profound experience in design and verification of HPDC components incl. corresponding manufacturing techniques.
* Knowledge in automotive development scheme and related processes ie. FMEA, APQP, DCP, 6-Sigma, 8D.
