For our customer bades in Brussels in the automobile sector, we're looking for a HIL Testing engineer.
Key Responsibilities :
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) Testing & Development :
- Set up HiL benches to validate future specifications.
- Join the existing team to evaluate specific ECUs such as Telematics and Multimedia.
- Support bench setup using CANoE.
Test Development & Automation
- Interpret general and diagnostic specifications into test requirements (PTC Integrity, CodeBeamer, or JAMA).
- Develop and implement test scripts in vTestStudio.
- Automate evaluation, report generation, and traceability with requirements.
Validation & Evaluation
- Perform evaluations, including end-of-period vehicle assessments.
- Review UCM and UCM Master specification documents.
- Identify, log, and track bugs in Jira based on demonstrator implementations.
- Evaluate and validate previous generations in production
- Conduct bench evaluations aligned with the vehicle development schedule in collaboration with EE ECU teams.
- Confirm notification language translations.
- Support end-to-end vehicle evaluations by providing and configuring logging equipment and flashing updated ECUs.
- Perform OTA validations on vehicles.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Attend coordination meetings and report on project progress and evaluation status.
- Work closely with various divisions (Quality, CT, etc.) and TMC divisions.

Summary of Technical Skills for a HIL Test Engineer Position :
• Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) : Setup and validation of HiL test benches
• Testing and Validation : Evaluation of specifications
• Embedded Systems: Testing of ECUs (telematics, multimedia)
Tools and Software :
- CANoE for bench setup and evaluation
- vTestStudio for test script development and execution
- PTC Integrity, CodeBeamer, or JAMA for interpreting specifications into test requirements
- Jira for tracking issues and fixes
