We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit and Collections Specialist to join our finance team. Under moderate supervision, you will evaluate creditworthiness, ensure timely collections, and mitigate financial risk, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure invoices are sent to customers for prompt payment
* Creating and upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment
* Responding to client queries
* Handle bank postings
* Providing administrative support to finance team
* Keeping close watch on debtor account balances
* Reducing debtors’ ‘Days Sales Outstanding’
* Ensuring the team adhere to credit and collection procedures by evaluating the credit risk of a customer and making recommendations to the Finance Director/CFO
* Regularly reviewing the credit limits of existing customers and making recommendations
* Prepare regular Aging reports
* Weekly update of upcoming collections
* Accounts Receivable reconciliation
* Customer relations
* Ad-hoc reports that might be requested by Accounting Manager and Corporate
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent training or experience
* 3+ years of experience working in Finance/Accounting
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software, strong MIS skills
* Fluency in English
* SAP FI module would be an advantage
* Proactive team player as well as being able to take your own initiative
* Flexible, adaptive and pro-active
* Organized, independent, and self-motivated
* Positive attitude with a good can-do mentality
