As an Area Sales Engineer you are responsible for:
* Maintain, support and develop direct B2B business between Kaneka Foam Plastics and its customers (mainly companies which mould particle foams on EPP or EPE basis). This B2B type sales includes making offers and following those up to closure.
* Ensure volume and margin growth targets, business development opportunities and relevant sales objectives are met.
* Help define and realise the sales strategy and tactics.
* Together with the technical team, develop innovative applications for our materials with automotive OEMs or Tier suppliers, diverse brand owners in diverse industries. This includes the developments of our revolutionary “Green Planet” material. This particular material has the ability to change the world of plastics in that it is biodegradable, microplastics free and can be used in a multitude of industrial or consumer applications.
* Ensuring follow up on forecasts, credit lines, complaints and relevant reporting.
Your profile
* Master degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable by experience
* Initiative-taking, autonomous, communicative person with a strong drive to succeed
* Open to innovate processes and products and to challenge the status quo
* Hands-on and team player mentality
* Willing to travel up to 30% of time in European region
* English is a must, other languages are an asset
* Few years of (international) sales experience
