Key Responsibilities
* Develop procurement strategies for assigned categories in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
* Manage a significant yearly spend, focusing materials infrastructure/industrial projects.
* Work closely with tendering teams to support project competitiveness.
* Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives across the procurement community.
* Coordinate vendor management, including framework agreements and market screenings.
* Lead efforts to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and foster innovation with vendors.
* Support project execution with strategic procurement inputs and negotiation support.
* Oversee vendor performance and adjust strategies based on feedback.
* Promote sustainability and out-of-the-box thinking to challenge specifications.
Candidate Profile
* Master's degree required, with an engineering background preferred.
* Procurement certification or degree is an advantage.
* At least 3 years of experience in procurement or technical roles; 5-7 years in technical industries.
* Experience in Steel is a must
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Strategic thinker with business acumen and commercial sensitivity.
* Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
* Willingness to travel for project and vendor management.
