Flexcity, a European leading energy technology company under the Veolia Group is looking for an innovative and dynamic Head of Sales to expand our Management team. Flexcity, present in France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Italy, and Spain, optimises the real-time energy consumption and production of an extensive portfolio of flexible distributed energy assets. By optimising its portfolio, Flexcity helps balance the electricity grid and generates new income streams for its partners.
This Head of Sales position offers the opportunity to manage the commercial operations of Flexcity in Europe and be a part of our management committee, participating in strategic decisions at a European scale and influencing energy solutions across borders.
As the Head of Sales, you have a European responsibility.
You are responsible for the sales strategy and performance:
1. Define the sales strategy and roadmap
2. Define acquisition plans
3. Define the objectives of the account managers
4. Follow-up on sales performance with the sales staff
5. Define the sales staff requirements together with the country managers to reach the required objectives
Improve the performance of the local sales staff:
6. Coach them to become better sales and account managers
7. Leverage your network to find deals and participate in closing the most important deals
8. Propose trainings
9. Participate in sales meetings and provide constructive feedback
You build a sales machine using added value tools, methodologies and reporting:
10. Are responsible for the quality of the CRM system
11. Define the structure of the sales pipeline & steps
12. Standardise the sales process in the different countries
13. Clear process for signing authority, contract management, and onboarding of new staff
14. Report monthly to the management team on the sales progress using sales books
Your Responsibilities:
15. Develop, monitor, and revise the sales plans for Flexcity
16. Relentlessly pursue the sales objectives while considering the broader company direction.
17. Spot and capitalise on new market opportunities,
18. Travel to the different local sales teams in Paris, Bruxelles, Amsterdam and Milan
19. Leverage customers that are present in multiple countries
20. Set up clear sales reporting tools and metrics to measure the sales process and improve
21. Monitor and respond to regulatory shifts by identifying commercial opportunities
Qualifications
Key Qualifications:
22. English
23. A solid foundation in the Energy sector, preferably electricity markets, backed by 5-10 years of relevant experience.
24. Management & leadership experience
25. Proven commercial proficiency.
26. Technical & digital curiosity, particularly within energy and sustainable solutions.
27. Ability to strategize and analyse with precision.
