Context
Deloitte Belgium has designed an ambitious development plan for Wallonia (Plan Sud) with the objective to double its revenues across the region. One of the segments that will significantly sustain this development is the “Private” segment that includes companies with annual turnover from €30M up to €2 billion. In this segment, there is a strong business potential for the Risk Advisory practice and the firm is looking today to recruit the senior talent (Senior Manager or Director) who will lead its development across the Walloon market.
The Director will be based at Deloitte’s main Walloon office in Liège or Charleroi. Risk Advisory employs today about people. The Director will lead and develop the local Risk Advisory team. This team is currently composed of 5 people but is planned to grow to 10-12 on the medium term.
Having a personal base or an existing business network in the Liège and/or Charleroi and/or Walloon Brabant area will represent an important element in terms of business development and cultural/customer intimacy.
The development of the Risk Advisory activity on the South region can be truly considered as an entrepreneurial project, strongly supported by the Partner group of Deloitte Belgium and offering a unique opportunity of impact in the Walloon market through a broad scope and a high level of autonomy. The position will involve regular contacts with functional peers at national level (periodical meeting in Brussels every 6 weeks) as well as frequent interaction with Guillaume Deschamps and with Partners and Directors of the local office, in particular regarding business development and cross-fertilization initiatives.

As the Director or Senior Manager leading the regional Risk Advisory team, the jobholder will be in charge of developing and maintaining the firm’s services in the Walloon market, and delivering projects together with the team. His/her main activities will be the following:
1. Meet clients or targets, promoting the firm’s positioning and values, and making an impact.
2. Actively contribute to the development of the team, service and solution offerings. This includes taking people management and business development decisions.
3. Drive the generation and supervise the execution of projects dealing with following objectives:
4. Implement a holistic, proactive approach to manage processes, risk and controls, and on that base help design and implement change in the organization to address key issues;
5. Analyse, improve the effectiveness and efficiency, rationalise, optimise or (re)design core corporate and operational processes and systems, and come up with action plans to bring or keep the business in control;
6. Increase visibility, enhance decision making process, help clients get a view of key business sensitivities and their impact, and support strategic decisions.

Other main profile requirements are as follows:
7. Master’s degree in Economics or Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
8. Strong financial background with 12+ years of experience in at least one of the following areas:
9. Business Process (Risk)
10. Management - Design/Reengineering
11. Risk Management
12. Internal Control optimization
13. Internal Audit
14. Business review and/or design
15. Transformation programs,
16. PMO
17. Experience in consultancy, project management and business development (mandatory).
18. Genuine curiosity for understanding how organizations operate (business processes) and proven ability to challenge the status-quo.
19. Hands-on, results-oriented and quality-driven personality, with outstanding analytical skills and a critical mindset.
20. Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different types of environment.
21. Ability to influence clients, teams and individuals positively, to lead by example and to build trust-based relationships with senior people.
22. People leader and true team player, with the ability also to work independently.
23. Fluency in French and English.
