Job description
Reporting to and working closely with ACEA’s Head of Public Affairs, the Public Affairs Manager will focus on the following:
1. Cooperating with ACEA’s policy teams to monitor regulatory developments and analyse their impact on the auto industry
2. Leading advocacy campaigns and projects under the supervision of the Head of Public Affairs
3. Engaging with European Commission, Parliament, and Council decision makers
4. Liaising with ACEA members and managing internal working groups
5. Drafting and revising advocacy tools such as position papers and political analyses
6. Contributing to other public affairs activities as requested by the Head of Public Affairs
Profile
7. A university degree (preferably Master’s level) in law, political science, or economics; EU-related study in these fields is an advantage
8. Between three to five years of relevant work experience in European public affairs
9. Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of other European languages is an asset
10. Excellent understanding of the EU decision-making process
11. Knowledge of EU environmental and/or transport policies
12. Outgoing, self-motivated, good diplomatic skills, and a quick learner
13. Capacity to connect with people and build networks
