Automation Engineer | Robotics Applications | International Clients | 1102891Our client is an international global leader providing a full range of engineering services and technical solutions to its industrial customers worldwide, principally heavy industries. Their Automation department, located near Mons designs automated solutions/equipment for industrial process control applications.
1. Automation / Mechatronics Engineer
2. Experience in automation, robotics and process
3. 30% international mobility
Your mission: Directly reporting to the Automation Manager, and in close collaboration with Engineering and Purchasing Departments, your tasks will be :
4. Drive automation, electrical and mechatronics design work in respect to the technical specifications and planned project delivery milestones.
5. Validate drafting work of the electrical & hardware Engineering design in respect of the Automation Engineering studies and relevant norms.
6. Define and document the functional analysis of equipment and the solution.
7. Develop the Robot operations and sequences in respect of customer process integration and validate it in terms of interoperability and timing.
8. Conduct software programming activities (PLC, HMI, Robot) in respect of the studies
9. Define the simulation and testing protocols.
10. Run simulation of the full software integration
11. Testing and Validation of the hardware and functionalities during the shop test
12. Commission the equipment at customer location
13. Report progress to the Project Manager and customers.
14. Report and coordinate technical issues or products continuous improvement to the relevant Product Manager.
15. Consolidate and share Design Rules, Procedures, Standards and Best practices across the team.
Your qualifications : In terms of technical skill :
16. PLC Hardware Configuration & Software Programming (Siemens S7 / TIA)
17. HMI Programming (TIA WinCC TPxxx series)
18. Robotic Programming & Teaching (Kuka)
19. Process simulation including interfacing between Robots & PLC’s (Kuka Sim / TIA PLCsim)
20. Expert in understanding and validating electrical drawings. The ability to supervise subcontractors in the wiring and cabling process.
21. Good knowledge in Automation Field instrumentation: Sensors, actuators, IO checks.
22. Basic knowledge in Mechanics, Hydraulics & Pneumatics Design. Understanding functionalities and operations.
23. Good knowledge in Machine, Process and People safety:
24. Machine directives (2006/42/CE), Robot safety, Safety functions.
In terms of soft skills :
25. Autonomous and result oriented: Responsibility to conduct Engineering and Commissioning in line with Technical and Project requirements.
26. Good communication to enable proper collaboration with different stakeholders involved in a project frame.
27. Practical approach and hands-on capability to enable proper troubleshooting.
28. Flexibility in the activity scheduling and approach of working hours.
29. Leadership to Manage and Lead Activities and Sub-contractors at Site.
30. Conversant in English with good communication skills.
