Our Brussels-based House of Communication (labeled Great Place to Work) is looking for a Strategic Director, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in advertising agencies, to join its team of around 120 employees and serve clients such as: Argenta, ALDI, BMW, BPost, C&A, Decathlon, L’Oréal, Mars, Mini, Nikon, Shell, and many others.
Within our House of Communication, the Strategic Director will lead the strategic planning efforts, guiding our clients and teams through insightful, data-driven, and innovative approaches to achieve impactful communications and marketing outcomes. Your expertise will help shape brand strategies that resonate with audiences, drive growth, and elevate our agency’s reputation as a leader in creativity and strategic foresight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and Drive Strategy: Craft and oversee comprehensive communication and brand strategies that meet clients’ objectives and align with industry trends and best practices.
2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusted partnerships with clients, understanding their business needs, and ensuring strategic alignment in all campaigns and initiatives.
3. Lead New Business Development: The Strategic Director plays a key and proactive role in the agency's new business initiatives, leveraging valuable consumer and market insights.
4. Market Insights and Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and risks, and leverage data insights to inform strategic decisions.
5. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of strategies and achievement of client goals.
6. Innovation and Trend Forecasting: Stay ahead of emerging trends, technologies, and consumer behaviors to continually elevate our clients’ brands and keep our agency at the forefront of the industry.
7. Co-Drive Creative Ambition: To match the international success of the group, as reflected in its position in the WARC rankings.
8. Foster a cross-functional approach: Ensuring a holistic perspective and comprehensive understanding across the group of companies.
9. Performance Measurement: Define KPIs, evaluate campaign performance, and apply insights to improve future strategies, ensuring accountability and a results-oriented approach.
Qualifications & Requirements
* 7+ years in strategic planning or a related field within a communications, marketing, or advertising agency.
* Proven expertise in strategic planning, analytical thinking, and a track record of driving successful campaigns. Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
* Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content strategy, with the ability to integrate innovative and traditional approaches.
* Fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
