Director, Medical Affairs (Location: EMEA or NA)
This role is crucial in overseeing the medical strategy and scientific engagement across regions, including EMEA, North America, APAC, China, and LATAM. Reporting to the Vice President of Patient Access, this position ensures that our medical strategies align with global objectives and drive evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes and strengthen scientific partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have a robust background in medical affairs, clinical development, or related fields within the pharmaceutical, medical technology, or biotech industry. Key qualifications include:
* A minimum of 12 years of leadership experience in medical affairs or related functions in the healthcare industry (including team leadership)
* A comprehensive understanding of global healthcare systems, regulatory environments, and clinical evidence generation
* A proven track record of leading clinical studies and evidence dissemination initiatives
* Demonstrated expertise in collaborating effectively across diverse cultures, regions, and work styles
This role combines strategic vision with hands-on leadership to deliver impactful results. The Director, Global Medical Affairs at Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies will lead and inspire a high-performing, globally diverse medical affairs team and foster relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and scientific organizations to support medical and scientific advancements.
