To strengthen our Procurement team, based in Corbais, Belgium,, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of CAPEX Category Manager Europe.
About the role
As a CAPEX Category Manager Europe, you willreport to our VP Procurement & Supply Chain Europe and be part of the Procurement team. You will be responsible for defining and implementing the overall category strategy to achieve recurrent TCO (total cost of ownership) improvement and ongoing value creation, while managing quality and service level. You will establish close working relationships with key internal stakeholders (manufacturing, technical, controlling, senior management, procurement…). You will manage a portfolio of strategic sourcing initiatives and develop relationships with strategic suppliers.
Your role and responsibilities :
1. Develop and implement the category management strategy, covering short, mid and long term priorities.
2. Develop and execute sourcing strategy.
3. Set up and lead cross-functional / trans-regional teams.
4. Organize supplier selection, identification and qualification of alternative suppliers.
5. Identify TCO reduction and value creation opportunities.
6. Identify cost savings while maintaining/improving quality and service level of suppliers.
7. Develop negotiations strategies and drive strategic negotiations.
8. Lead contract implementation and resolve important issues.
9. Support the Procure to Pay process through alignment of buying channels and process.
10. Manage / Evaluate contract compliance, data management and supplier performance.
11. Track / Measure performance according to Group Procurement guidelines
12. Set up and manage supplier network.
13. Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and ensure progress of continuous improvement actions in order to maximize value.
14. Organize market intelligence monitoring through relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and market experts; identify new technologies/solutions and evaluate their interest.
15. Ensure discipline / compliance to the agreed strategies, plans and processes.
16. Ensure smooth collaboration specifically with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sourcing Managers and Analysts.
17. Lead the CAPEX category team.
