We’re delighted to be partnering with our client, a leading independent stationary battery storage (BESS) project development, financing and ownership boutique, backed by a well-established cohort of strategic investors and financing stakeholders.
With one core operational BESS project live already, multiple projects past financial close and beginning construction and a longer term 1.5GW scale pipeline in development, the company is an exciting early mover in the local BESS market. In the mid-long term, there are also plans for international diversification.
To support the ambitious growth of the company, our client is looking for a talented and committed Procurement Manager.
Your Function
In this role, you will lead the procurement process for supply, installation and maintenance services of grid-scale battery projects in a tandem with the Head of Assets and Engineering and with the support of the legal and finance teams. You will be part of the development team and report to Heads of Development, but also with a dotted line and close collaboration with the Managing Director.
Tasks
* Single point of contact with bidders in all phases of procurement.
* Redaction and issuance of RfIs and RfPs with the support of assets and engineering team
* Leading the process of RfI and RfP until proposal of preferred bidders to the management and executive committees
* Leading the process of contract negotiations
* Support to the Heads of Construction and the Head of Operations for contract management during respective phases
* Maintain network and good relationship with counterparts
Your profile
* MSc in Business and/or Engineering.
* 5+ years of experience from which 3+ years of hands-on experience in Procurement or Sales Manager (single point of contact to suppliers or owners) for grid-scale BESS projects
* Ability to build strong, long-term relationships
* Familiar with constraints from non-recourse financing
* In love with problems solving
* Full professional proficiency in English
* Self-starter, “whatever-it-takes” attitude, team player (lone wolves not welcome)
* Energy transition enthusiast (battery freaks welcome)
