As Group Financial Controller, you oversee the financial activities of Colruyt Group with activities in Food, Non-Food, Health & Well-being, Energy, Group activities and Real Estate, among others. You ensure financial insights with a focus on the group level, working closely with the CFO.
- You analyse the group results against the previous financial years, the forecast objectives and the strategic plan. In this way, you provide long-term strategic advice to the CFO.
- You look at the financial reports of the various businesses from a helicopter view and mould them into a coherent whole. In doing so, you identify overarching opportunities and risks.
- Together with the CFO, you prepare the reporting and presentation of the figures for the Executive Board.
- You map out the financial impact of new ideas and trends.
- You are a frontrunner within the community of Financial Controllers who focus on a particular business. You provide the helicopter view and link between their reports with a view to corporate level.
- Because of this overarching view, you can optimise the view on financial analyses and reporting and thus guarantee a smoother cooperation in the community.
You work in Halle and can work up to two days a week from home or in one of our regional offices (Zwijnaarde, Mechelen, Bornem or Haasrode).
Profile:
- Knowledge and experience: You have a higher degree in economics and at least 5 years' experience in a controlling position in a larger, more complex structure with multiple entities.
- Analytical: You can make connections and quickly identify bottlenecks, also outside your own field of expertise. You can deal with complexity and like to think out of the box. Analyses related to working capital and cash flow also hold no secrets for you.
- Strategic: You can think from a helicopter view, make connections between different reports from different contexts and convert them into an overall picture with a long-term view.
- Communicative: You give advice to C-level. You therefore speak their language and have the necessary diplomacy, assertiveness and persuasiveness.
- Language skills: You communicate clearly in Dutch and English.
