Head of Engineering

In Tubize, you will join more than 250 colleagues recognized by domestic and international partners for expertise on products such as Radio Frequency (RF) Products, C4ISR, Crypto Global Solution, MACS (Aeronautical Intercom) and many others.

The Engineering Department Covers The Definition And The Development Of Activities For Products & Solutions To Be Delivered To The Customers. This Is Accomplished By:
* Understanding customer needs. Your team will need a concept of operations definition, a concept of maintenance & support over the product lifecycles along with requirements elicitation;
* The design (architecture definition, alternatives and trade-offs analysis, installation design), development (modelling, coding, unit testing, technical debt management);
* IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification), support to handover to operational use and maintenance over the whole product lifecycle;
* Contribution to industrialization phases;
* Service delivery for solutions.
Mission
The Head of Engineering responsibilities consist of defining a vision, driving the competitive improvement (Engineering Performance Plan) and the growth of your future organization.
Main responsibilities;
As Our New Head Of Engineering, You Will:
* Report the engineering performance plan, progress and results to our Domain Director;
* Provide your improvement growth/maturity strategy, based on business challenges, KPI competitiveness, root cause analysis of challenges identified in bids and ongoing projects within your engineering organization;
* Manage the Heads of Disciplines (Electronics - Software Application & Embedded - Systems), Head of Delivery and Engineering Operations, making up this engineering organization;
* Lead the Competence Centre that gathers all the engineering activities.
Profile
* You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any related field;
* You have a minimum 7-10 years’ experience as an Engineering Manager in a technically challenging environment;
* You have a proven record with managing projects in complex product developments, industrialization of products, as well as technical management and operational organization;
* You are able to develop a strategy in order to foster competitiveness and performance improvement;
* You have the ability to define requirements, capitalize and estimate costs. You know how to use your organizational skills to guarantee the follow-up of engineering projects, respecting deadlines, costs and quality with a clear vision of risks and opportunities;
* You have a good understanding of data and business issues;
* You have a strong sense of initiative and leadership;
* You are results driven, customer-oriented, quality-focused and respectful of ethics;
* You are fluent in French & English, ideally in Dutch also;
* A previous experience within the Defence or Aeronautical sector is a big advantage.
