As a data scientist you will be in charge of understanding and translating the business needs into data and advanced analytics specifications, collect, analyse and model the data in order to create understandable statistical visualizations.
The data scientist plays a key role in gathering the business needs and the development of data collection, data analysis and advanced analytics solutions for the company.
The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing large datasets, developing predictive models, and providing actionable insights to inform strategic initiatives within the institution.
The data scientist sits within the Data Office which is a central organization delivering data products for the different company business lines. He/she plays a key role in the company digital transformation by participating in the set up of the new Data Lab. He/she works in an agile mode in close collaboration with the SME (Subject Matter Experts), the Data Engineers, and the Data Architect.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business problems and develop data-driven solutions.
Collect large volume of structured and unstructured data from various sources, in collaboration with the Data engineers and the Data Architect
Prepare and transform the data into a usable format for analysis
Utilize advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze complex datasets and extract meaningful insights.
Design and implement AI solutions by building new predictive models to forecast trends, identify patterns, and optimize decision-making processes.
Develop data science solutions, ensure the data correctness, conduct troubleshooting, provide maintenance and adequate technical documentation.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden patterns and correlations within the data.
Works with the scrum team along the entire project lifecycle to ensure appropriate delivery in an agile and pragmatic approach
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear and compelling data visualizations, reports, and presentations.
Actively participate to the set up of the new Data Lab by
Collecting new business cases
Setting up the exploration processes and exploration techniques
Driving innovation by using data
Actively participate to a Data Science Community, to share best practices and stimulate innovation
Stay updated on the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and identify opportunities to apply them within the institution.
Requirements:
Master or PhD degree in Statistics and Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience as a data scientist
Experience in data preparation and data cleaning
Experience in working with Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS
Machine learning(supervised and unsupervised) and ML training experience
Very good Knowledge of Python, SQL and R
Very good knowledge of Git
Experience in CI/CD pipelines
Experience in working with health / medical data is a plus
Experience in working in an agile project mode.
Experience in data biases mitigation
Experience in data privacy, GDPR compliancy
Experience with Azure DataBricks is a plus
