Based in the Brussels area, our client is a fast-growing technology company offering highly competitive telecommunication solutions to global customers in various industries and across several continents.
They are today looking to recruit a Sales Director Europe.
Position
Reporting to the CEO, working closely with him and as a key member of the management team, the Sales Director will be in charge of the company’s overall commercial management and deployment across Europe, both from a strategic, tactical and operational standpoint.
This involves the following main accountabilities :
* The acquisition of new global customers and the further development of existing key accounts, mainly in a direct sales model while working also on implementing an indirect sales channel;
* A key role in defining and deploying the commercial strategy, including structuring and professionalising the company sales processes and product/service offerings;
* The development and coaching of the sales team, including the recruitment of new team members according to identified needs and opportunities;
* Act as an ambassador in representing the company towards customers and prospects, and play an active role in proposing marketing and communication initiatives aimed at reinforcing the company’s visibility, credibility and overall positioning within its competitive environment.
Candidate profile
* Master-level education in business/commercial management or marketing.
* Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience including proven sales track and adequate business network at international level, gained ideally but not necessarily from within the telecom industry.
* Strong sales skills and business experience towards various sectors (e.g. manufacturing, energy, construction, retail, …) including good knowledge of the procurement processes of global players.
* Assertive personality with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Creative, entrepreneurial and challenge-driven mind-set.
* Agile and hands-on temperament, able to act as sparring partner and force of proposition with a high degree of autonomy.
* Integrity, reliability and sense of responsibility.
* Fluency in English. Other languages (ideally French, German, …) will be a strong asset.
* Candidate prepared to travel across Europe and to work in remote whenever needed while ensuring a frequent presence (at least 1 week per month) at the company head-office in Brussels.
