OPENLANE Europe is on a mission to become the world’s greatest digital marketplace for used vehicles. As we expand, we're looking for a dynamic, passionate, and people-oriented Team Leader to drive performance and support the development of our Account Management team.
As Team Lead Account Management, you’ll coach and empower your team to manage and grow Key Accounts, while recruiting and developing new professional buyers and sellers. You’ll balance team leadership with direct commercial activity and help shape the way we operate across Europe.
What will you do?
* Lead, coach, and inspire your team to grow both individually and collectively.
* Monitor team performance and identify development needs and growth opportunities.
* Conduct regular stand-ups, 1:1s, and performance evaluations within the talent cycle.
* Foster a motivating environment, encouraging a growth mindset and providing recognition.
* Ensure high-quality, effective sales interactions across calls, emails, and chats.
* Oversee the account management strategy, focusing on customer retention, upselling, and share-of-wallet growth.
* Monitor team KPIs and report insights, market trends, and opportunities.
* Ensure smooth implementation of European-wide processes and drive consistency.
* Represent OPENLANE at trade fairs, customer meetings, and events when required.
Who are you?
* Genuine passion for sales — thrives in a commercial environment and inspires others through their energy, drive, and sales mindset.
* At least 5 years of experience in sales, ideally in B2B or automotive.
* Proven team leadership and coaching experience within a sales environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills – approachable, social, and a natural connector.
* Positive, humble, and adaptable – able to handle change and influence others.
* Solid work ethic and professional values, balancing team spirit with performance.
* Fluency in English; additional languages are a strong plus.
* Willingness to occasionally travel across Europe, and to work at our office in Tienen three days a week.
