Department: Technology & Infrastructure Overview: Our client is looking for a skilled System Engineer (SCADA) to join their team. You will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the technical lifecycle of all electronic and PLC components within the baggage system. ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage the entire technical lifecycle of all electronic and PLC components of the baggage system, including software updates, license management, and security patches.Monitor the operation of PLCs and SCADA systems, ensuring all systems function correctly and intervening when necessary.Analyze technical issues, report bugs, and collaborate with second line contractors and ICT teams for troubleshooting. Proactively follow up on incidents and resolve bugs in automated processes.Train team leaders and technicians of subcontractors for first line interventions, including troubleshooting PLCs, network protocols, and bus systems such as Profibus and PROFINET. Ensure they can perform basic replacements and adjustments.Stay updated on developments in cybersecurity for operational technology and airport infrastructure, implementing new technologies and best practices to improve the safety and performance of the baggage system. QualificationsAt least 3 years of experience with PLC systems and network protocols, preferably complemented by a bachelor's degree in engineering or automationThorough knowledge of PLC systems, networks, and bus systems. Affinity with the technical side of automation and understanding of how systems communicate via SCADA. Fluent in the language of ICT teams and understanding of network protocolsStrong analytical skills and the ability to quickly identify and solve technical problems. Proactive mindset focused on improving processes and preventing malfunctionsEffective communication skills with both internal teams and external service providers. Ability to clearly convey technical information and collaborate with various stakeholdersWillingness to participate in on call duty and be available outside normal working hours to ensure smooth operationsFluent in Dutch, French, and English, both spoken and written
