As a Support Engineer you are responsible for the support and maintenance of the infrastructure environment at our customers. You analyze problems and look for the best solution. For this you make use of a ticketing system. Furthermore you take care of the installation and configuration of new servers, documentation, patching, ...
In short, a versatile function where you come into contact with different technologies: Active Directory, O365, Windows server, Microsoft Azure platform, company-specific applications, hardware, networking, .... .
Where you're going to get started
The Service & Operations practice within BPS (Business Platform Services) consists of 2 teams or 'tribes', the skilled and expert tribe, with knowledge of a wide range of IT technologies.
The skilled tribe is similar to a 1st or 2nd line support team. Here, the Tribe Lead is responsible for the functional management, technical coaching and planning of the team.
The expert tribe is similar to a 3rd-line support team.
These tribes are self-managing. This means that each member of the tribe is responsible for the optimal functioning of the team.
As a team, we provide proactive IT support for our managed service customers. Both for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid environments. We are also responsible for staffing a 'managed seating' for some of our customers. Every day we take on the challenge of providing the best possible support for our customers. Here, top quality and pro-activity are standard requirements.
This is you
1. You have a bachelor's degree in ICT or equivalent through experience
2. You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position (help desk / support / system administrator)
3. You have a broad technical knowledge of: Office 365, Windows server, network management, hardware, ...
4. You have knowledge of or are interested in learning more about Microsoft Azure, ITIL, ...
5. You are a real team player
6. You have strong reasoning skills and get satisfaction from solving problems
7. You are fluent in Dutch and English, good knowledge of French is a plus
