We are looking for a Senior Manager Accounting to work at our office in Wavre, Belgium, with occasional business travel across Europe.
Tasks and activities
* The role overlooks the end-to-end Statutory and Financial Operations landscape for the entire Group and across all Business Units.
* Main tasks include the leadership of all financial operations, statutory accounting, consolidation exercises, audits, taxes, treasury and cash-flow management.
* The role also entails an in-depth statutory accounting background including completion of financial statements and tax declarations and requires a strong focus on process & tools improvements while continuously promoting compliance with company policies and procedures.
* The position reports to the CFO and has as direct reports the Accounting and Financial Operations Leaders.
Skills and experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
* At least 15 years relevant experience.
* Experience in Revenue Recognition, cost accounting, statutory accounting.
* Strong hands-on expertise with ERP, MS Office (in particular Excel), Reporting tools such as Power BI.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to collaborate across the organization and positively influence business outcomes.
* Strong communication skills, at all levels, and with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Excellent time management, planning and organisational skills.
* Willingness and ability to work at both operational and strategic levels.
* Ability to travel as required.
* Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
* Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
