DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Facilities Technician - Level II to join our team, specializing in Facilities for our Electrolyzer Facilities in Oevel, Antwerp, Belgium.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
1. Skill Development: Assist more experienced employees as part of a formal learning program or regional training program, learning and developing skills in services, support, and maintenance within your specialty (, HVAC, Electrician, Facilities Management).
2. Safety Practices: Maintain safe work habits in all daily tasks, evaluate reactive work for safety issues, plan projects with safety as a priority, and assess preventive work for potential safety issues.
3. Problem Diagnosis: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate and correct the cause of breakdowns.
4. Maintenance Management: Use software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventive, and predictive maintenance work, and manage building systems.
5. Preventive Maintenance: Follow the manufacturers recommended preventive maintenance schedules and startup procedures to ensure equipment reliability.
6. Effective Communication: Communicate technical information to customers and within your team, ensuring clear and effective information exchange.
7. Cross-functional Repairs: Perform cross-functional work to carry out repairs within your capabilities, and adapt to a wide range of conditions such as extreme heat, cold, moisture, and confined spaces.
8. Continuous Learning: Attend classes and training on-site or elsewhere to build the necessary skills and knowledge required to achieve local certification, and participate in improvement projects using common problem-solving techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you will need:
9. Maintenance Responsibility: Maintain machines and installations (preventive and corrective) in electricity, mechanics, and PLC controls.
10. Improvements and Modifications: Participate in machine and installation improvements and modifications.
11. Problem Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze recurring issues, develop improvement proposals, and resolve malfunctions, actively seeking downtime causes.
12. Teamwork and Communication: Work independently while being a team player who communicates effectively with colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
13. High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
14. Knowledge of or experience with electricity, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings.
15. Versatile and able to solve technical problems analytically. Knowledge of the principles of PLC controls (operation/programming not part of the scope).
The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionized agreement.
