Kennedys is seeking to recruit an “Advocaat/Avocat” to join its litigation, insurance, regulatory and commercial practice in Brussels. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded team and be a part of a growing global law firm.
We are open to speaking with candidates that have general insurance experience and/or commercial litigation experience. Aviation and Transport experience, whilst not essential, would add significant value to a candidate.
TEAM
1. Our team in Brussels works on complex and commercial litigation (including international arbitration), insurance disputes and coverage questions and regulatory issues. The Brussels office's expertise in insurance, commercial, aviation and transportation matters are recognized in Belgium and globally.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
2. 2 – 3 years professional experience*, in particular insurance litigation, commercial matters and regulatory issues
3. Fluent in Dutch and English (writing and speaking)
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
4. Experience in the insurance and/or aviation and transportation sectors
5. Command of French
6. Previous client contact and attendance at business development events
7. Arbitration experience

8. Strong legal research and drafting skills
9. Ability to apply a commercial approach to claims in order to deliver client-focused solutions
