We are looking for a talented Platform Engineer to join our dynamic data and analytics platform team. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our data platform. Your expertise will drive the evolution of our platform, enabling seamless end-to-end transformation from raw data to insightful data products shared across the organization. You will collaborate closely with data product teams to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring the platform supports a wide range of data initiatives.
Your role
1. Design, implement, and manage the infrastructure and services of our data platform on Databricks and Azure.
2. Work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to provide a scalable, reliable, and efficient data platform.
3. Contribute to the architecture and design decisions of the platform, aligning with the principles of data mesh to promote domain-oriented decentralized data ownership and architecture.
4. Ensure platform scalability, performance, and security, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data product development, from inception to deployment, ensuring smooth data integration and processing workflows.
6. Participate in continuous learning and training to stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in data platform development.
To succeed, you will need
7. Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or other related field.
8. Strong expertise in Azure and Databricks, including infrastructure as code, data lake storage, and ETL processes.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on innovation and the ability to adapt to changing technologies and requirements.
10. Proven experience in platform engineering, especially within a data and analytics context.
11. Familiarity with data mesh principles and experience in implementing or working within a data mesh architecture.
12. Good collaboration and communication skills, with a passion for working in cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.
