Your Work Context
As Quality Controller at Jan De Nul you will work on ambitious and imaginative construction projects: from the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense over a modern hospital in Charleroi to the new VRT building in Brussels. On your site, you will assist the project team at Farciennes in quality matters.
Your Role
As a Quality Advisor / Quality Controller, you will assist the project team at Farciennes in quality matters.
Some of your duties as Quality Controller include:
* You are responsible for quality controls on the site in progress according to the inspection and test plans and record the results of your controls.
* You identify and report possible and real quality problems related to the project to the Site Manager with whom you form a team.
* You look for pragmatic solutions to problems together with the site manager.
* You prepare quality documents and help report on quality at the project level.
* You assist in maintaining project quality management documentation on site.
* You will assist in reviewing inspection and test plans from suppliers and subcontractors.
* In this position, it is also important to report irregularities and proactively suggest improvements.
What you need
* You have a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or a related technical field and preferably have additional training in Safety, Quality and Health.
* You have experience in quality control on a construction site.
* You have some knowledge of quality management systems and ISO standards (9001).
* You are able to read and interpret technical drawings.
* You have a pragmatic approach, have common sense and an open mind. Your work is precise and methodical, but problem-solving thinking and collaboration are also essential in this job.
* You are fluent in French and English.
* You are willing to work on our project in Farciennes.
