What you will do
Service Market Logistics is part of Group Trucks Operations (GTO). We have 5300 employees on more than 60 locations world-wide. Our job is to design, handle and optimize the supply chain for all Volvo Group brands and for selected customers within the automotive industry.
We develop, manage and optimize service parts (spare parts) availability and distribution securing customer uptime. Through our excellent operations, we provide world class services focusing on delivery precision, quality, continuous improvement, cost efficiency and synergies delivering value all the way to our customers. We are embracing and working with new technologies and innovations enabling us to take Service Market Logistics to the next level for our customers. Material Planning Vehicle is a part of Gent/EU Region within GTO Service Market Logistics and we are responsible for the planned distribution of service market products, from supplier to dealer.
The Continental Material Planner (CMP) has a continental responsibility for a portfolio of suppliers delivering to the central warehouses in Gent (BE) and Lyon (FR). The CMP has the overall responsibility of the relationship with the supplier of a spare parts assortment. The work is done in close cooperation with the Truck brands and other Business Areas, GTT Technology, GTP Purchasing, Demand/Inventory planning and the suppliers.
